This post is more like a confession, and something that I have changed about myself. I used to think too much. Thinking is good, we all know that. After all, you’ve got to think and analyze a situation before you act, but over thinking isn’t.
In case you’re not one among the over thinkers, let me give you a peek into the over thinker’s mind.
It’s basically 10 people, constantly coming up with ten different ideas all the time…ALL in your head! It’s just waaay too much goin’ on in there! Your thoughts take you on this confusing ride, and all that while, you aren’t even paying attention to what’s going on in the real world. You seem all lost…your eyes look dreamy, with your lips tightly sealed together.
Ugh !! But wait…is all that even worth it? Is all that strain that your brain goes through, even noticed?! What is the point of letting your brain get so worked up?
The fact is…it doesn’t matter at all! Trust me on this one…when all that chaos is going on in your head,…ease up! Below, are some points that helped me :
1.Write down your thoughts…as points and after you have a list, free your mind, and think about it later at a time when your cool, and calm.
2.No one really thinks as much. It isn’t always necessary to please others.
3.You and only you are affected by your thoughts.
4.You get tired, mentally.
5.You’re likely to end up doing what you think is right, and not what you want. You end up putting others ALWAYS before yourself, which isn’t always a good idea.
6.Overthinking kills your impulsive side.
7.Your long thought process makes it harder for you to make quick decisions.
